Project Roadmap

We are happy to release the Project Roadmap for the Immersive Scholar grant. The Roadmap is a document that provides the timeline and milestones for the interinstitutional collaboration that is the backbone of our project. This document represents our first progress report.

We are are releasing this document publicly in keeping with the project's integrated approach to assessment and evaluation. Each phase of the grant iterates between the task, prototyping and testing proofs of concept, soliciting feedback from outside parties to confirm the integrity of the prototypes against stated project goals, and revising the models. So we release the Roadmap here as a way to solicit feedback from the larger community of practice (e.g., you, dear reader!) and add accountability that project goals are being met.1

This is a planning document, and so it concerns the details of the project's formal cohort of participants. However, it may also be of interest to:

  • Those looking for models to partner with other institutions on technical collaborations or content sharing.

  • Visualization practitioners who want to better understand how this project's outcomes may benefit them.

This document is the result of planning that happened during our December cohort workshop. Special thanks to Indiana's Eric Wernert for getting our group notes into spreadsheet form.

Please leave a comment or get in touch if you have any feedback or questions about our Roadmap!
